I was a mean, rotten kid and the oldest of seven children. I grew up in Tulsa and lived in an apartment complex with many Indian families. When my Christian grandmother died, and I didn't understand why she died and had many questions. Some people came to visit the families in the complex and invited the children to attend their Sunday School. My brother and I went and learned many songs and stories about Jesus.
By the winter of my 11th birthday, I won a Bible for learning the most memeory verses. Some people from the Indian church visited my parents and invited them to a revival. We went. Jesus knocked on my heart's door and I opened it and got saved. My whole life changed. Through ups and downs I stand on His promises, especially Jeremiah 33:3.
Now my life centers around Christ. God has blessed me with a college degree when my family had no money. He allowed me to work with college age students in my vocation. He has allowed me to teach literacy to people who want to tutor. He has blessed me with three children and four grandchildren. My husband was saved at age 42. He has blessed me by allowing me to be a minsiter's wife. He helps me to be creative in all that He has me to do.
