The Most Important Thing to Bernie Martens

As a teenager and a young adult I was searching to be accepted and to fit in. I thought that if I joined my friends in their activities I could be a part of the crowd. This led me down a path that was very empty. The more I felt empty the more I did daring things to fill that void. I hit rock bottom!

When I finally met Christ he showed me that there is a much better way. Things just started to fall into place. When God took charge of my life I found myself with a wonderful wife and daughter, a good job, a great home, and awesome friends. Most importantly I was having a relationship with God that filled the void that I was so desperately trying to fill myself.

Since Christ has been in charge of me, He has led me to be a leader. He has blessed me with being apart of an awesome ministry called F.A.I.T.H. Riders. I am also a sixth grade Sunday school teacher. These two things give me great joy in sharing the gospel to those that I come into contact with. I find great joy when I see how God changes the lives of those who give their lives to Him. I am thrilled knowing that person will be in heaven with me.
