The Most Important Thing to Brian Harrison

I grew up in church, had awesome parents who pushed me to know as much as I could about the Bible. So by the time I was in middle school, I knew all the Bible terms: salvation, resurrection, miracle, baptism, etc.
Well, that was fine and all, except that it was all head knowledge, meaning I knew the meanings of the words. What I didn't have was the heart knowledge, meaning how those words applied to my life. Well right at a time when I was changing churches, the Holy Spirit hit me. All of a sudden, I realized that I wasn't going to heaven, that I really wasn't a good person, and that I was desperately missing something in my life: God.
Now that I have done my Christian ABC's (Admit, Believe, Confess), everything is better. At times it's hard, at times it's frustrating, but knowing that regardless of what happens here, I will go to heaven makes everything worth it. Jesus loves me, and I love Him back. I will always be a bright light in a city on a hill, not because I've earned it but because God was merciful enough to give it to me.
