The Most Important Thing to Emma Thompson

Even though I accepted Christ at a young age, I never seriously followed Christ because I felt like asking for forgiveness was pointless because I would turn around and mess up again. I would never be good enough, so I never prayed at all. I tried to fill a God shaped hole with boys. Through 8th and 9th grade I had been in a few relationships. Whenever a boy broke up with me and moved on to another girl I would get so jealous that I would do anything to get their attention and spend time with them.
I was heartbroken and scheming on how to get the latest boy back when I heard at a youth conference that God was jealous for me. God is jealous because when we sin, we are putting other things before Him when our relationship with Him should be the most important thing. God was like me, He wanted to be in a relationship with me so bad, that He sent His son to die a horrible death, just so He could spend time with me. He definitely got my attention and I began seriously following Christ.
Today, my relationship with God is definitely the most important thing in my life. We talk all the time, and He tells me in the Bible how much He loves me. I thank God constantly that He sent His son to die in my place, and that he offers forgiveness and the strength to turn away from my sins. God is kind of like the best boyfriend ever. It's awesome to be the Bride of Christ. :)
