The Most Important Thing to James Cox

I grew up in church as a preachers kid---ya ya we are the worst.... anyway I had always heard about Jesus but it wasn't until at the age of 9 that I understood what he could do for me. After getting into some serious trouble, my dad sat me down and began to talk to me about repentance. For a 9 year old this was a huge word!!
That very day Aug 1 1984 I understood that repentance meant to turn away from bad choices (what this world has to offer). I understood that I needed Jesus in my life ---it made perfect since to me "for the wages of sin is death" I knew that without Jesus, if I were to die, I would spend an eternity in Hell!!! I prayed to receive Jesus into my heart and make Him Lord of my life.
Since that day I have made every effort to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. I ain't gonna lie it has not always been easy as a matter of fact it is tough--BUT--IT IS WORTH IT! To experience the peace, joy, forgiveness and the promise of eternal life everyday is amazing!! But the coolest thing is how He is constanly shaping and molding me everyday. Living with the power of God in my life helps me cope with the challenges of each day!!
