The Most Important Thing to Jim Fryer

6 hits

In high school I was a highly talented athelete. I thought I had everything anyone would want. But, my life was a mess. I sought for meaning in the typical youth lifestyles using athletics as a cover. My life was all messed up inside.

However, my coach knew different. He did his best to tell me about my need but I was too stubborn. After athletics moved me to the Universitly of Arkansas, I met another athlete that showed me that my real need was Christ. It was then and there that I faced myself and my insecurities and gave my life to Christ.

Though I could see my life changed dramatically in many ways, it was tough going for the first few months. There was a great peace in my life but my insecurities would show up time and again. It took time for me to trust Him to help me with daily problems. Over time I learned that my decision to give my life to Christ became the one stabilizing factor that I could always depend on and trust. It has always helped me through the tough times that I faced in the years after.
