The Most Important Thing to Linda Purdue

Before I met Christ, I had no direction, I felt empty. I did not belong anywhere, I was lonely. Nothing seemed to give me any fulfillment no matter what I tried. I was invited to church, I felt so much acceptance and love from them, they seemed to be happy, I wanted what they had. When I was a child I went to church, I got started in Bible Study and teaching a first grade class. But the emptiness was still there. I was busy but not fulfilled.

When I met Christ, I was at a revival in 1982 the preacher was preaching in Matthew 13:24, the wheat and the tare. I knew I was the tare, you see a grain of wheat is full and has a purpose. The tare looks just like the wheat, but when it is broken open it is hollow. That was me, empty and without a direction or a purpose. I asked Jesus into my life and for forgiveness of my sin. I Committed to live for Jesus as my Boss and Savior.

Since I met Christ, I have purpose and fulfillment, the lonely feeling I used to be covered with is no longer there. I have peace and love in my life. My attitude and motives have changed, not thinking so much about myself. Jesus took my empty life. He came into my life and gave me His love and peace and made me all new. Now I have a purpose and hope for my future. I am still busy but now I know where I am going.
