The Most Important Thing to Marilyn Morton

I lived a life of fear and nightmares, even at a very early age, because of a difficult family situation and an overactive imagination. My family began to go to church when I was about 4, and I heard the gospel regularly.
I felt the urgency of God's call to salvation on the eve of my 7th birthday. My pastor preached a verse which says "Now is the accepted time" and asked "What if you were to die before your next birthday!!" We went home from church. I worried and worried until I insisted that my Dad call the pastor and ask him to come to our house. He graciously came, we talked, and I had the peace of knowing that I belonged to Jesus, just in time for my birthday!
Since that time, many years ago, I have always known who I belong to. Even when life has been uncertain or unhappy, and when my memories were fading because of illness, I never forgot Who my Savior is! He says, after all, He will never forget me - He has me carved in the palm of His hand.
