I grew up in an unhappy family. My father drank too much, and since we were usually having a crisis, members of my family did not communicate well because we tried to hide the problems we were having.
When I was 7, my best friend had a family who was kind and fun. When I asked my friend why her family was so nice to me, she said it was because they were Christians and God gave them a lot of love to share. After learning how much God loves me, I wanted to be a part of his family. My friend's parents prayed with me and I asked Jesus Christ to forgive the mistakes I had made, and to fill me with that kind of love.
Life has not been perfect every day since I became a Christian, but I have always had a Christian family to go to in my church, and I have always had God with me to talk to at any time, all the time.
