Life without Christ is like being a zombie; you are alive but dead at the same time. Many people die not knowing Christ and that’s the worst punishment to come upon anyone. My pastor told the church a story about a man who was dying and at the last moment he said “it’s real” referring to heaven. Stories like that make me avid to know more about the kingdom of heaven in all its greatness. When I was young, I didn’t know about things such as life, God, and forgiveness just to name a few.

When I was four years old, my mother passed away. Being so young I didn’t fully fathom the importance of the situation. Living with my mom we hardly ever went to church because she was a single mom and had to work every day just to support us. When she died my Aunt took us in, and in her household church was a part of everyday life. I feel because of my mom’s death I got to know God and I got saved and baptized when I was ten years old. I’ve been loving life ever since.

After I met Christ I started to see things from a different perspective, I began to notice the things God created and they meant something to me now. Life its self became a precious thing that I now valued. After being saved I never took life for granted. Having Christ in your life doesn’t make things easier but that’s why He is there to guide you and lead you in the right direction.
